It can also lead to them confessing to being guilty, when they aren’t, just to avoid extended jail time.

Spoken Injustice is a YouTube channel, presented by its founder and director, Anna Doherty. Anna is a former prosecutor who witnessed, first hand, the increasing injustice in the Justice System, and decided to use her talents to highlight it, and to “amplify the voices of those the system failed”.
Spoken Injustice “puts the Criminal Justice System in the dock” and analyses injustice from an informed legal perspective but geared towards non-lawyers.
Spoken Injustice does not deal solely with false allegations, but the wider subject of injustice. It is, nonetheless, highly relevant to our concerns and Anna has started a series called Your Voice Matters, which is concerned only with false allegations. The first episode, an interview with a FACT committe member and director, Felicity Stryjak, who has been compiling a database of false allegations.
