In what many will see as Eire’s ‘Waterhouse report Judge Ryan published his report Review into the working of The Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse. The Minister welcomed the Report on behalf of Government. Minister Dempsey stated that the recommendations outlined by Judge Ryan have the potential to achieve a way forward for the Investigation Committee and that Judge Ryan has the Government’s full support for his recommendations. Minister Dempsey went on to state that his Department will now proceed to incorporate the legislative recommendations contained in Judge Ryan’s Report into the amending legislation currently being prepared.
