Our Autumn Conference and AGM is on Saturday 30th September, 2017 at St Luke’s Church and Conference Centre, Great Colmore Street, Lee Bank, Birmingham. B15 2AT.

We have two excellent speakers. Dr Dennis Eady, of Cardiff Law School, works as Case Consultant to the Innocence Project at Cardiff University Law School. He has many years of experience on the topic of miscarriages of justice including the appeal process, particularly the CCRC and applications to them. In January 2015, he gave oral evidence to the House of Commons Justice Committee’s review of the CCRC (Criminal Cases Review Commission) in support of Cardiff Law School Innocence Project’s written submission.

Margaret Jervis has been tracking the reliability of sexual offence allegations for 30 years, firstly as a journalist on the professional magazine Social Work Today, then as a freelance journalist and researcher and subsequently legal affairs adviser for the British False Memory Society. Since 2004 she has worked as a consultant and caseworker with Chris Saltrese Solicitors specialising in sexual offence trials, appeals and related matters as well as writing on the subject.
