Re-trial in scouting 'abuse' case

Posted

by

A jury has been discharged in the case of a Scout leader accused of indecently assaulting young members of his troop between 1966 and 1972. Trevor Richardson, 69, of Delamere Drive, Barton Seagrave, Northants, was found not guilty on two of five counts. But the jurors at Leicester Crown Court could not reach a decision on the remaining three counts. A re-trial has been scheduled for March next year. Mr Richardson, who holds an MBE, denied all five counts.
