NORTH Wales Police are prepared to go to court to ensure criminal records are not destroyed.They have refused calls to weed out old information, saying a government body ordering the update is in the wrong.The move comes in the wake of the Bichard Inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the Soham murders.There was severe criticism of the handling of intelligence by Humberside and Cambridgeshire forces, especially about the past of killer Ian Huntley.Last night, the Information Commission said holding on to old records could jeopardise some people’s job chances….
