It’s pretty much the consensus: A teacher accused of assaulting a student should be removed from the classroom immediately.At least in the short term, the decision is not just about whether the teacher did anything wrong. It’s crucial, school officials say, to protect students from the possibility of further abuse and teachers from confrontations or more, possibly false, accusations. For school administrators, it can be a no-win situation. For abused students or teachers falsely accused, it’s a nightmare with no easy solution.
