A TRANMERE Rovers club doctor has been cleared of sexually assaulting female patients.Carlos Michael Azurdia, a retired family doctor, was unanimously cleared of committing 11 indecent assaults on eight women in his care.The 65-year-old GP, who worked at Bebington Civic Medical Centre, closed his eyes and sighed with relief as the jury at Liverpool Crown Court announced the not guilty verdicts.The father-of-five was originally accused of 15 indecent assaults, relating to the period 1971 t0 2001, but Judge Henry Globe QC, the Recorder of Liverpool, ordered not guilty verdicts to be recorded on four charges due to a lack of evidence.
