A retired teacher said yesterday that former pupils who alleged that they were abused at the List D school near Stirling known as St Ninians, were in it for the money.The High Court in Edinburgh has been told of electric shocks given to boys by a monk, beatings with knotted leather laces and children forced to eat their own vomit. The court has heard that some pupils were claiming £50,000 damages each in civil actions against the de la Salle Order and others connected with the running of the school.
